Outcry for legal justice

Stockholm feb 2007
This is an outcry
My name is Elin and I have in capacity of a Human rights activist exchanged contact with several deathrow inmates from president Bush's maximum security prison Polunsky Unit in Texas, USA. While doing so I have stumbled upon a case that proves the injustice and carelessness practised by the Texan goverment. Picture this: a young man with some trouble in his past gets blamed for a doublemurder. Being declared indigident prior to the trial his only hope is the stateappointed attourney who has no reason, no pay, no will to fight for him, and is even documented sleeping during the trial. Justice? The scenario described here sounds rediculous and very unreal, however it actually is the faith of a young man who was at the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong legal history. Clinton Young is no angel, but is he responsible for the doublemurder he is sentenced to death for? He denies. Let's face it, a denial is not really worth anything in a court of law. Evidence is however. That is why it strikes me as odd when I did some research on this that there was no forensic evidense to prove Young's guilt. The prosecution had no physical evidense to bind Young to the murder. No fingerprints, DNA - nothing. He was found guilty because of the witness testimonial of one of his two co-defendants, David Page. (Who mysteriously got his centense reduced).
During the course of time we have stumbled upon some interesting evidense including affadavits, lie detector tests and a recent ballistic report - all speaking for his innocense. The affadivits and the lie detector test (conducted on Page) both tells us that it was infact this man who held the gun and shot these to men to death. The ballistic report shows through calculations and reinacted scenaries that Young never could have been the shooter. Despite of this positive turn Young was recently denied a second appeal due to the mistakes done by his previous stateappointed attorney. What we need to take this to court is a competent lawyer who can assure that the trial will be fair and at least give Young a chanse for reprieve. But competent lawyers cost money and time is bare.
I hope that you who read this can find it in your heart to help us wirha small donation, this is our last chance. I do not ask of you to condemn the deathpenalty we all have our reasons for different oppinions, but please help to make sure that the US goverment does not kill an innocent man. Mistakes like these have been done before and would have gone undetected if not the public had taken matters into their own hands. I hope that this is not another one.
Thankyou for taking the time to read what I had to say, Elin
